Compazine

Description

Compazine (generic name: prochlorperazine; brand names include: Compro / Stemetil / Stemzine) is an antipsychotic agent of the phenothiazine class.

Copmazine is primarily prescribed for the treatment of severe nausea and vomiting.

Compazine may also be used in the short-term treatment of anxiety and in the treatment of schizophrenia.

Recommendations

Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take your medicine exactly as directed.

The usual adult dosage for nausea control is one 5 mg or 10 mg tablet 3 or 4 times daily.
